Gmail Login – Easy And Secure Access To Your Gmail.com Account

The most popular way to access your Gmail.com login is at http://mail.google.com where the Gmail login page is usually displayed.

Gmail offers a very user-friendly interface right from its login page where each user can enter username and password to gain access into his or her existing account. On the same page, anyone visiting who does not have a gmail account as yet can create one in just a few steps on the gmail.com sign up page. Since it does happen sometimes that users forget their usernames and passwords or for any other reason it becomes impossible to log into their account, the Gmail login page also has a link to help recover login information.

The Gmail login page loads very fast not unless there are issues with the browser you are using to access your account. For the best loading times, you need to have a fairly fast internet connection enabled on your computer. If the login page results to errors or a blank page, it could be viruses or even the browser cache that needs to be cleared. Scan your computer regularly with an effective antivirus to clean viruses which often slow down your internet connection. With a very slow internet connection, you are forced to log into your Gmail account in its HTML version which has limited options rather than the standard version which avails plenty of features and the best experience for users. You can also try different browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera incase you encounter more Gmail login loading issues. Some are faster and even more secure than others.

Many people will also access the Gmail login remotely using email clients on desktops, laptops, mobile phones and any other supported devices. Whichever way you access your account Gmail offers adequate layers of security that attackers cannot break easily. It is now possible for users to sign into two accounts they have registered on different usernames using multiple sign-in even on mobile phones. Users who opt to switch addresses instead have to log out from one account to access the Gmail login page to sign in to the second account.

In order to avoid problems with your Gmail.com login not allowing access into your account, it is highly recommended to provide a recovery email and mobile phone number. This will be of help when you can’t log in because you forgot password and/or username of your gmail.com account. Entering your mobile phone number would help you to avoid losing your email account completely. An option for verification in 2 steps is also available with smartphones whereby a temporary code is generated for one-time use during the Gmail login process adding one more security layer.

Gmail.com is not unlimited but is offering over 7GB of space to store your emails which is more than enough. You must open your browser and type the following address http://gmail.google.com. That will lead you to the page shown below.

Click on sign up/create an account link and go to step 2. You don’t have to worry if the screenshot image and the screen displayed are a little bit different.

Step 2

Right now you shall be able to see a form to create your account that has a number of fields which need to be completed so you will have to start filling the form.

You need to type your first and last name and think of a desired login name because your login id will be decisive regarding the email address you will receive. In the case of your Gmail account the email address will look something like this “your-chosen-login-name@gmail.com” so make sure you choose with care a login name also known as a user name.

You need to choose it with common sense as it will represent you as much as you will represent it so spend a little time coming up with a good login name. email address are unique so you won’t be able to choose an existing one. That is why the check availability button is there to help you with suggestions in case your chosen username is not available.

Step 3

Enter the password two times and check the box saying “Remember me on this computer” if you want to skip filling it in every time you login.

Step 4

Now you need to select a security question or come up with one on your own and provide the answer because this will help you recover your password in case you forget it. If you do not have a secondary email address leave that field blank. Enter the characters from the picture in the field and move on to “I accept” button after going through the terms.
